Tavleen Kaur Lall holds a MFA and BFA degree in Painting from College of Art, Delhi. Born in 1995, in New Delhi. Tavleen’s work is a mixed bag of styles and format, yet her approach to painting is uniformly exuberant. A gestural abstraction characterized by daring combinations of strong colour and energetic resolution mark her output, where colours are given a free outflow, while sharing inaudibly and even invisibly, the mystery of their being and of self. Commonly referenced to as ‘colourscapes’ they move between the polarities of black and white, harnessing shapes inspired from the multi-dimensional spaces of life. They invite the viewers  to invent their own meanings. The artist held her first solo show in 2019 at Treveni Gallery and has since been a team member of several group shows and painting workshops. An awardee of the AIFACS 92nd annual art exhibition her works grace collections in India and abroad.
