About the Artist

Anant Nikam was born in 1962 in Ambajogai. He completed art education from Govt. School Of Art Aurangabad 1982. He has participated in several art camps, workshops, and major exhibitions at state and national levels. He has participated in many reputed and selected group shows in India and abroad, such as Indian Printmakers, organised by Scottish Academy of Asian Art show at Intermedia Gallery, Finge Gallery, Glasgow. Participated in Dr. Krishna Reddy’s Printmaking Workshop held in Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. Selected – Link Exchange programme, Glasgow Print Studio and Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, International Art Festival at Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

As an expert Conducting printmaking workshop at Glasgow Print Studio Scotland, UK. He was awarded the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition, Honourable Mention, First Bharat Bhavan International Biennial of Print, Bhopal (M.P.),Honourable Mention 34th National Exhibition of Art, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, Awarded Fourth Bharat Bhavan Biennial of Contemporary Indian Art, Bhopal, 50 years of Independence’ Exhibition of Mumbai Artist organized by N.G.M.A., Mumbai. Presently he is head of the printmaking studio at Sir J.J. School of Art Mumbai.
