RS Shakya’s personal practice in art reflects the qualities of a veteran practitioner who rejoices in both nature’s expansive and its minutia fascinations. A fondness of colour and a matching eye for perspective give his creations a mesmerised draw. His technique with colour and light imbibe the works with luminosity as is seen in his study of autumn leaves, bunched together in severe compositional geometry, while submerged in a mellow aureate palette. Elsewhere, the scenic takes enclose wide angled panorama, at once grand and yet familiar.
